Before this app, I was always hesitant to use busses because I never knew when they would come. Now, I can quickly look up the best possible bus route for me to take then find out exactly where the next bus is! Amazing!! *****

This app gives the distance and approximate time until arrival for any bus stop. Its fast and accurate (except for the few buses with broken GPS). The arrival time is adjusted for traffic conditions. You can search for nearby stops, add from a map, or search for text, and you can save favorite stops. I use this every day and it has never crashed. Room for improvement: the bus stop names should signify the direction of travel so you dont have to use trial and error to find the one you need. Also, I have the same problem as another reviewer with the map jumping around when zooming.
This app is accurate and useful with buses, now I wonder if there would be by any chance a subway version in the making?
Spot on!! Love that it tells you the end stop for the bus too such as South Ferry or Houston St on M15! The best and very timely!
This is a great idea but the execution on the application is horrible. Filled with multiple crashes and bugs. If the app just opened the web view it would be 100x better than the application out now. Seeing as how this application has not been updated since 2015 is very discouraging.
This app is a joke, the times are rarely accurate. Dont base your travel plans on it or odds are youll be late...needs improvement.
This app is so much better on a droid or Samsung Galaxy platform. You dont even see the bus routes and what stop the busses are on, like it is on the droid. What a waste. Its all confusion. Not a happy camper here at all.
Im glad the app was free because its a waste. I get clearer information via the MTA BUS TIME online. I dont care that the bus is1.5 miles away. I want to see where it is currently.
I know you have it in you--it can be better. First, add the full bus map routes for every borough for commuters to reference nearby bus lines and their routes. THEN commuters will be able to effectively use the GPS/real-time features.
Only the MTA can make a worse app than the web interface, which wasnt all that either, but at least it was intuitive and made streamlined.
The web interface shows you immediately where the bus is without all the clicks, making this app pretty useless. Map is way too small and the huge bus icons are too big which makes it impossible to read. This really needs a lot of work-cant you just put the functionality of the website into an app??
The web app works great. You can type in your bus line number and see a list of stops and see where the buses are at. Now with this app, you have to select your stop and it tells you how many miles away it is. Who cares? Or you have to open a map and zoom in on it to track the location.
App keeps deleting favorite stops all the time when you close app
Sad and useless. I was excited to see an app bc the website is a little clunky. This is actually worse. Not intuitive, and the feature to see buses near you makes you guess the direction and sometimes only displays buses going in one direction.
Doesnt show where the q10 is located unless you look in maps which is not accurate. Omg bus driver on Kew Gardens bound 5540 at 1154am on 6/16/15 being nasty to foreign passenger because she doesnt know where she is.
I like the app, especially being able to see all of the buses along the route on an app. That was something a mobile website was missing.
The web page was much easier to use to quickly find where buses were. My husband couldnt figure it out at all. They got this WRONG.
This this great. It changed my life!!
The app is great and functions as it should.
Clear, easy, and quick. Found the app to be pretty straightforward: Search for route, click direction, click on stop = get distance and/or time of next arriving bus depending on proximity. Exactly same as the Web page. The "Map" button gives you the bus route superimposed on a map with location of every operating bus. Use same procedure to zoom in on the route map that you would use to zoom into any Web page or screen displayed with iOS - spread fingers apart while touching the screen. The route map is a very good feature of the app as well as the ability to set a collection of "Favorite" bus stops/routes/or maps. This feature gives you one-click access to whichever format you prefer the data. This makes it much more efficient than using the Web site to find bus arrival information.
